Anthology Submission Guidelines:

♡︎ cozy ink press is curating a heartbreak anthology — a lyrical mix of longing, almosts, and goodbyes that echo like your favorite sad song. We’re looking for poems that could belong on a moody playlist, the kind you play at 1:00 a.m. with your phone face down and your heart wide open.

Think slow dances with ghosts. Think harmonies with the past. Think voice notes you never sent and verses you’ve rewritten a hundred times. Whether your heartbreak is freshly bruised or long scarred over, we want your poetic take on what it means to lose love or never quite find it.

This isn’t just a breakup collection. It’s a full-body ache in D minor, a secret soundtrack of what we almost said.

Use music-inspired metaphors, lyrics, or structures (not required, but loved)

Deadline: June 27th, 2025
Length: Up to 3 poems (2 pages max per poem)
Format: .docx or .pdf
Unpublished work only
Eligibility: Open to writers based in the USA, Canada, and the UK.

Poems titled like tracks on a breakup album
References to musical forms (Preludes, Nocturnes, Refrains, etc.)
Anything that could double as a whispered lyric or screamed chorus
